Erika Larsen is a New York photographer that took pictures for a magazine back in 2003. She then joined Redux Pictures and wanted to do long term stories. She has a BFA in photographic illustration of 1997 and an MFA in computer graphics and animation of 1999 from Rochester Institute of Technology. The picture that I chose by her is the Boy and Girl and Leo & Carmen. It is from the series of Young Blood she took pictures of them hunting. There were pictures of little kids that look like that they were 9 or 10 years old slaughtering the animals. I compared this picture with the Leo and Carmen because this picture is two adults hunting. So I thought that this will represent the little kids as adults when they grow up. Larsen also has a picture of a hand of a woman with the animals blood all over and she is wearing her wedding ring. So I guess she was trying to capture the bond that she has with hunting and that she also married someone who is a hunter and she also married hunting.
