Makes you think

My plan was to find a painting that depicted the renaissance style. its one of my favorite time periods for art. it would depict a royal woman or man, because it would be a portrait. or it would depict a knight slaying a dragon, or maybe even something religious that would make you stop and feel pain even if you weren't religious. this was the plan. than i stumbled across a beautiful yet semi-revolting painting of a cows head and cows tongue. even though it was kind of gross it drew you in with its colors and realism. i loved it and decided to do my paper about that. so the painters name was Gustave Caillebotte. so this guy loved painting real, in the moment things. sometimes i wonder if he just saw something he liked (like a certain moment) and took a piture of it in his head, and than put it down on paper. all of his paintings are about (in my opinion) in the moment things. he painted people washing floors, he painted people looking outside, even people just walking down the street on a rainy day. and the way he peinted it made them all look so real sometimes i wondered if the people in the paintings would just decide one day to just step out of the painting and out the museum doors. even when he painted something dark, or dreary he still managed to make the painting itself look soft. even the picture of the cows head and tongue, the colors were soft and your eyes eased into the painting. same thing with "paris street, rainy day" (something like that) it was a dreary scene because it was raining but the colors were soft and inviting nontheless. i really liked his work. so simple and yet so interestinbg to look at.

i agree with the hunting person. i dont know how us having guns makes it fair to hunt animals. my dad likes to uhnt and when i told him he should not do it unless he plans to use the whole body he told me he has to hunt to keep the deer population down. i retorted with a "we wouldnt have to keep the deer population down if we just stopped killing the predators who ate them". i hate hunting. so many rare animals have been wiped out and will be wiped out because of mans need to feel superior. i think if you're going to hunt make it a fair game. go in their with what you were born with and lets see how you hunt. if youre going to use a gun i say those bucks should be allowed to have lasers attached to their antlers. make it a fair fight. if we ever have to do a paper about paintings again, i think i would seriously consider doing one about hunting or just wildlife in general since i love it so much.
