Whining Relieves Stress...NOT.

The episode I chose about stress was very interesting. I was astonished at the techniques they used to basically figure out how we get stressed and what we can do to stop it. I was interested in this episode because I myself deal with stress and anxiety so it was neat to see what they did. The theory of if u hear your stress sound, a sound that sounds like a whine, then you would most likely slow down and calm yourself down. Hey, no more prescribed pills from the doctors! Now that we are able to understand stress then there’s no need for anything else because when we understand something which we are struggling with then we know how it works and what we can do to control it. Easy as pumpkin pie? Umm, no! Of course, we will still get stressed because duh, we are human; however, we will know the terrible whine noise and hate it because it’s so annoying and we will calm ourselves down before we have terrible nightmares with that noise. Just kidding, but that would make of a good story. Stress is something that will forever more surround us, but neurologist, Dr. Robert Sapolsky, shows otherwise. You can still live a healthy non stressful non anxious life while knowing that you have a 10 page paper due next week. Sheesh, that’s why procrastination is so bad. Luckily stress doesn’t have to consume you. Just know how it works.

  1. hahah this make sense, im sure thats why some people love complaing so much 'cause itll calm us down, no matter how annoying it is to the listeners!
