Pop Culture enough for you?

I was only able to find information on one of the artists / artwork I choose. The piece was "Jean-Paul" and the artist was Mathieu Levesque. He is a montreal based artist with a UQAM graduate degree in visual arts and art history. His art is iconographic and composed with floating parcels, details, marks, words, lines, and characters. In a majority of his artwork he uses characters that are familiar with pop culture such as Marge Simpson, Snoopy, The Hulk, Spider-man, The Power Rangers, Care Bears, My Little Pony, Bambi, and countless celebrities. The painting "Jean-Paul" has Bambi, South Park, and an animated snowflake in it. It is park of his large series, none of the paintings are grouped into sections because each are connected to the previous and next.
