Zoos!

I listened to the radiolab - "ZOOS".
The radiolab started off talking about how before in Roman history animals were killed by the hundreds for entertainment and then today, they're wanted to be saved and watched and looked at.
In the 1970s the way of the zoo was changed by one man. He became the zoo director and started the way a zoo was and how it is now. Gorillas used to be in small concrete cages, no entertainment just food and there poop. Dian Fosie (the gorilla lady as you might know her, she wrote down everything about monkeys and studied them for her life) she was called into Seattle to make Gorillas more at home. No one knew about what these changes would have on the gorillas. After 5 years, the 16 feet of new location made - and the gorillas took to it and they were just natural, feeling and acting like they're in the wild. For animals that are meat eaters, most zoo's don't really feed them that meat. But the Toldedo Zoo feeds them meat and full animals, one of the zoo's that does this on a monthly bases. The tigers attacked the already dead animals and use there actual ways of attacking. The song Walking in The Zoo changed how the zoo was called, it was called the Zoological Gardens until the song was released in the 70s. In order to find out if an animal is happy (in a cage) there brains are looked at. The more "bushier" there brains are, the more activity they get in your brain - means the more complex and happier they are. The active cage means and active animal.
It is stated that an active animal in a good cage, is happy. Zoo's aren't bad, because the animals aren't unhappy - there happy.
